MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University had four players combine for nine RBI as the Lady Hornets claimed an 11-3 win over Mississippi Valley State on Friday at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alabama State claimed a 1-0 lead in the first when Kiana Parris walk with the bases loaded walk.
- Mississippi Valley scored a run in the top of the second before the Lady Hornets answered with three in the bottom of the inning. Madison Myers had an RBI single, and Alexia Denby drove in two on a single.
- Bailey Greenlee's sac-fly extended the lead to 5-2 in the bottom of the third.
- The Lady Hornets broke the game open with a five spot in the fifth to take a 10-3 lead. Kindall DeRamus had an RBI single, and Alex Preston had a two-RBI single. Parrish capped off the inning with a two-run double.
- A DeRamus RBI single to right field ended due to the NCAA run rule.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Greenlee (6-4) worked 6.0 innings for her fourth complete game. Greenlee struck out five hitters while allowing three runs on seven hits.
- Gleenabah Tsosie (0-2) gave up 11 runs on 12 hits and walked 11 to suffer the loss for MVSU.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Parrish led the Hornets with three RBI and had a double
- DeRamus collected two hits with three runs scored and a pair of RBI.
- Denby had two hits with two RBI.
- Alex Preston went 2-for-2 with two RBI
- Myers had one hit and two RBI.
