The Alabama State women's and men's basketball teams will host Texas Southern in a Monday doubleheader to end the first half of the SWAC schedule before hitting the road for their next three games.

The women's and men's indoor track teams will compete this weekend in the New Balance Meet in New York City. The Anuk Christiansz era as Alabama State head tennis coach begins as the women's and men's tennis teams open the 2012 season at Mercer.

The ASU Baseball team will host Fan Appreciation Day Saturday at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.
 
BASEBALL: The Hornets' baseball team will host fan appreciation day Saturday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The day begins with a free clinic for kids aged 6-14 at 11 a.m.
 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Lady Hornets will look to sweep the brief two-game home stand when they host Texas Southern. This weekend, ASU will play at Mississippi Valley Saturday and at Arkansas-Pine Bluff Monday.
 
MEN'S BASKETBALL: It's a matchup of defending champs Monday when the SWAC Tournament Champions Hornets host the SWAC regular season champs Texas Southern live on ESPNU. The Hornets will then travel to face SWAC leader Mississippi Valley State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
 
INDOOR TRACK: Both ASU teams will compete for the first time ever in the New Balance Meet in New York City Friday and Saturday.
 
TENNIS: Christiansz and the Alabama State women's and men's tennis teams make the season debut at Mercer.
