MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Alabama State University senior golfer Kyle Demester posted a final round 74 to lead the Hornets Tuesday at the Wynlakes Wynter Nationals hosted by Huntingdon College at Wynlakes Golf and Country Club.

Demeester finished tied for 7th after carding a two-day total of 149 (75-74).

As a team, the Hornets earned an eighth place showing following rounds of 314-335 (649).

Huntingdon swept the team and individual titles as the squad posted a 36-hole tally of 584 and Chase Blasich (143) earned the medalist crown on the second playoff hole.

The Hornets next tournament appearance comes on Mar. 21-23 at the SWAC Preview in Alexandria, La.
