PITTSBURGH, Pa.
– Alabama State University senior linebacker Adrian Hardy picked up another accolade in his final season garnering 2009 SBN Sports Black College All-American (BCAA) Team honors as announced by the American Urban Radio Networks Thursday.

Hardy, from Selma, Ala., finished with 104 tackles this season leading both the team and the Southwestern Athletic Conference. His average of 9.5 stops per game also led the league and ranked him 34th in the NCAA. Hardy posted five double-digit tackle performances this season including a career best 17 tackles against Tuskegee. He also finished the year with 10.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a team-best five interceptions.

An All-SWAC first-team selection on defense, Hardy also participated in the inaugural Russell Athletic Senior HBCU Bowl on Dec. 19 at Cramton Bowl.

The All-American team is comprised of 25 student-athletes from the nation's historically black colleges and universities. The selected members will be honored during the 36th Annual BCAA Awards Weekend February 12-14, 2010, at the Doubletree Resort Orlando, Florida.
