Jackson Named HSRN National Player of the Week

HARTLY, Del.—Alabama State’s Tanika Jackson was named the Heritage Sports Radio Network women’s Division I fan poll National Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Jackson, a senior forward from Saginaw, Mich., earned the award after leading the Lady Hornets to a 2-1 record for the week. She averaged 21.0 points and 13.3 rebounds per game during the stretch.
Her top performance came against Jackson State scoring 35 points and pulling down 14 rebounds as ASU collected its first conference win 58-45.
Jackson and the Lady Hornets will be hosting in-state rival Alabama A&M University, Saturday at 3 p.m., in the ASU Acadome.
