MONTGOMERY -- The Alabama State University 4x100m women's relay team was fast enough to take home the event title at the recently completed SWAC Track & Field Championship, and their winning time now has them ranked among the nation's elite.

In the latest USTFCCCA NCAA Division I outdoor track & field rankings, ASU's relay squad is ranked 18th in the nation with a time of 44.84. The winning performance also earned the quartet a spot at the upcoming NCAA Regional, May 29-30, in Louisville, Ky.

The Lady Hornets' 4x100m Relay team consists of freshman Tokeyah Jones, freshman Jamie Brooks, freshman Asha Tavernier and junior Dawn Hermanes.
