HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Alabama State University softball team dropped a 7-4 decision to Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the loser's bracket of the SWAC Championship tournament at Timberton Park on Friday.

With the loss, ASU is eliminated from tournament play and concludes the 2009 season with a 14-27 record (8-9 in the SWAC).
