MONTGOMERY – The Alabama State University baseball team posted an 8-3 victory over in-state rival Alabama A&M on Saturday night at Paterson Field. The game was the opener of a three-game series between the two squads that concludes with a doubleheader on Sunday starting at 1 p.m.
Cameron Webman led the way at the plate for the Hornets going 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored.
Drew Quinney scattered 10 hits over seven innings of work on the mound while allowing just three runs with eight strikeouts.
Devin Dominquez worked a pair of scoreless innings of relief for ASU.
