Softball Heads to Magic City Classic

The Lady Hornets of the Alabama State University softball team will be competing in the 2009 Magic City Classic softball tournament Friday, Feb. 27, through March 1 at Spain Park in Birmingham.
Alabama State University (8-0) is scheduled to play UAB (4-8) at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and will continue play on Saturday with games against Northern Illinois (2-3) at 10 a.m. and Pittsburgh at 12:30 p.m.
The final day of the tournament on Sunday, the Lady Hornets play Samford (5-5) at 1:30 p.m.
Live game statistics provided through Game Tracker will be available for all games throughout the tournament.
