Six Hornets Set for Senior HBCU Bowl Appearance

Bama State players ready for final collegiate game
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – For six Alabama State University football players, Saturday's inaugural Russell Athletic Senior HBCU Bowl at Cramton Bowl marks their farewell to college football and a final appearance on their home field.

Hornet seniors Adrian Hardy, Rechard Johnson, Rahmod Traylor, Jason Bruce, Aaron Wheeler and Lionel Mapp will represent ASU in this year's debut event which is set for kickoff at 2 p.m.

The Senior HBCU Bowl is a showcase for HBCU players from NCAA FCS and Division II programs allowing them the opportunity to play against the best players in front of scouts from the NFL and other professional football organizations.

Players in the game will represent programs from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).
