Alabama State Hosts Tuskegee in 86th Turkey Day Classic

ASU-Tuskegee Continue the Rivalry at 3 PM on Thanksgiving Day
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State Hornets and Tuskegee Golden Tigers face off in the 86th annual Turkey Day Classic Thursday at 3 p.m. in Cramton Bowl. The game is being televised live on ESPNU.

ASU (4-6) and Tuskegee (8-2) meet for the 96th time overall Thursday with the Golden Tigers holding a 57-35-3 lead in the all-time series. TU also owns a 46-31-3 advantage in the Turkey Day Classic.

In this decade, only one Turkey Day Classic has been decided by more than 10 points and the last two meetings have been decided in thrilling fashion. Last season, ASU ended Tuskegee's 26-game win streak with a 17-13 victory capped by an interception in the endzone on the final play. In 2008, the Tigers escaped with a triple-overtime win.

The game marks the final home appearance for ASU's senior class, who will be honored during a pregame ceremony.

In addition to the game, Turkey Day Classic festivities on Thursday include the annual parade in downtown Montgomery at 9 a.m., Tailgate Party at Noon and the Hornet Walk at 1 p.m. Tickets for the Turkey Day Classic can be purchased at the Cramton Bowl ticket office for $30.

The game will be carried on the radio by WVAS (90.7 FM).
